MI Search was founded by Thapelo Molapo, a multiple award-winning HR expert with more than 30 years' experience in the practice of People Management. Molapo is Toyota South Africa Motors' former Vice President of HR and Training. He is a Certified Director with over 15 years' experience as a Board member of several organisations including MerSETA, NIHSS and the Council of the University of Venda. He has served as a Principal Consultant on People Management, Dispute Resolution, Strategy and Governance to many Multi-National Corporations and Government entities in South Africa for over 23 years.
Thapelo Molapo holds among others a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the University of Cape Town, a Diploma in Education and Training from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a Master of Arts in Applied Ethics for Professionals from the University of the Witwatersrand. In 2009 Molapo completed the Leadership Development Program at the Toyota Institute in Mikkabi, Japan. In 2020 he was nominated by Wits University to a global research team of the Centre for Human Rights and International Justice at Stanford University. This team developed a library of ethical dilemmas caused by the use of Artificial Intelligence in the Financial Services sector. Molapo is currently pursuing a PhD on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.
